Lemosho starts in rainforest on the far western side of Kilimanjaro, crosses the Shira plateau and circles beneath the southern glaciers before the night push to Uhuru Peak. It sees a fraction of the crowds on the Machame route and gives your body more time to adjust.
Summit success on our eight-day Lemosho has been above 95% for six seasons running. The extra day costs a little more and is worth every shilling.
